     So last week we basically just watched movies. The one movie that I really liked though was Far and Away. In this movie the orange Irish and the English were basically fighting against the green Irish and a green Irish man and an orange Irish woman went to America together and basically worked together to try and get free land. While doing so they fell in love with eachother but some technicalities came up and she was shot while they broke into a persons house. He dropped her off at the home of her family and into the arms of an orange Irish man. They met up again some time later and fell in love again when they were out grabbing their land.

      Yesterday in us history we learned about the south west and how the English came inane basically killed the native people for their land to get out all the resources they could. They moved over from the east coast and slowly expanded to the west taking over any land they came across and killing anyone that interfered or previously lived there.

        "A thesis statement appears near the beginning of a paper, and it offers a concise solution to the issue being addressed. It states the claim of the argument presented in a paper. A thesis statement is usually one sentence, though it may occur as more than one." This basically means that a thesis statement is basically your opinion that you are going to be wrinting about in your paper. Like if I had to choose a side if I wanted iPads or books in school, my opening sentence would be," I think iPads should stay in schools over books because..." And then you continue on your essay as such.

     Yesterday in class we watch the movie Glory. I actually really enjoyed watching this movie because I liked the war scenes and how there was a story line behind the whole war. I think it was actually pretty interesting to learn how one man led a group of men to battles and basically his life story. I really enjoy watching these kind of war movies and hope that we watch more over the course off the class.

      Yesterday we learned about the civil war and the differences between the north and the south. We learned what made them so different and why they believed war was the best answer for the situation. I think that the civil war was inevitable and that the big thing that made them so different was their outlook on slaves.

       The civil war was tragic and both sides suffered major lose. In my opinion though I believe that the civil war was inevitable. The north and the south were just too different at the time and they both had very different opinions when it came to slavery. This much contract would create too much conflict and at one point it would blow up causing the civil war.
